Mangroves in the Indus Delta area are vital intertidal wetlands and coastal ecosystem. These ecosystems support a significant amount of terrestrial and marine biodiversity as well as High Conservation Values (HCVs) areas which have regional and global significance.
Here the team of IDC is busy collecting data for the assessment of different parameters (oceanographic data, fish catch data, biological data, heavy metal presence in soil sediments) related to measuring biodiversity conservation in the project area.
