Training and Awareness Session on Sanitation in DBC-1 Project Area – Bhambhore

Personal hygiene is closely linked with human well-being as it affects mental and physical health.  Learning personal hygiene tips is therefore important for all segments of society, including men, women, boys and girls. Given its importance DBC-1 project has organized personal hygiene sessions for project zone communities at three main locations: Bhanbhore Area, Keti Bandar Area and Shah Bandar Area. During this awareness raising and training sessions, tips on a personal hygiene checklist for giving a boost to human health were given. Main topics covered in the awareness raising and training sessions included: frequent hand washing, face washing, taking showers on a regular basis, teeth brushing, nails trimming, clothes washing and wearing clean clothes, covering the mouth while sneezing, use of quality razors and other personal use items, avoiding use of used syringes, use of deodorant and antiperspirant, etc. 

Some personal use hygiene kits were also distributed amongst the participants.
