MoU with the School Education and Literacy Department (SELD)

Delta Blue Carbon signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the School Education and Literacy Department (SELD), Government of Sindh, through the District Education Office, Thatta, on 2 April 2026. The agreement, implemented under Delta Blue Carbon’s WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) Program within the Health component of the DBC-1 Project, establishes a formal collaborative framework to rehabilitate, maintain, and ensure the cleanliness of schools hygiene facilities across the DBC-1 Project area.

The MoU defines clear roles and responsibilities between Delta Blue Carbon and the Education Department, enabling coordinated action for the sustainable operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of school hygiene infrastructure. By combining infrastructure investment with institutional commitment, the partnership ensures that students have access to safe, clean, and functional hygiene facilities that support health, dignity, and regular school attendance.

The initiative strengthens long-term collaboration between Delta Blue Carbon and theSchool Education and Literacy Department (SELD), creating a sustainable foundation for improved school hygiene, healthier learning environments, and enhanced educational continuity for students, teachers, and school communities across the Indus Delta.
